Cork Celebrates San Francisco Twinning

Westbourne’s HQ is located in Cork, Ireland. So, we are delighted to be associated with the ceremony planned for the full week commencing Monday 23rd April to celebrate the twinning of Cork with the great city of San Francisco.

Our CEO, John O Sullivan and Chairman, Pat McGrath are planning to join the Cork Lord Mayor, Tony Fitzgerald and a number of other business leaders and dignitaries to celebrate the twinning event in San Francisco. The Cork delegation will include government agencies such as Enterprise Ireland, UCC, CIT, and business groups.

Some of the highlights of this historic event in the Bay area will include:

  • a reception with the Mayor of San Francisco Mark Farrell at City Hall
  • a meeting with Consul General Robert O Driscoll at the Irish Consulate Offices
  • a visit to the PCH Innovation Hub
  • a visit to the Flex Customer Innovation Centre and Innovation Labs
  • a reception which will be jointly hosted by Cork Chamber of Commerce and the Irish Network Bay Area

The trip will provide John and Pat with an excellent opportunity to develop business connections in the San Francisco bay area and meet potential new clients, especially in the Life Science and technology sectors.

In addition, they will meet with a number of business leaders from our existing clients, located in California. Finally, John and Pat are planning to check out a suitable location for our proposed new office facility in the US.
